I was doing some work late last night and the princess finally gave up and tucked herself in among the couch cushions and went to sleep. Love the little legs tucked behind her. Reminds me of how she used to sleep as a puppy – all splayed out.

Looking like a little princess in the late afternoon sun. That’s her Chinese Box Bed in the background, which is one of her favorite beds.

The princess often goes on “walkabout” – just wandering aimlessly around our home – sniffing, licking, looking around. When I call her over to find out what she’s up to, I invariably get this look.

It’s been a tough couple of months, though I think I’m slowly getting on the road to recovery. The one bright spot in every day: this little princess, this sweet smile, loving puppy kisses and a snuggly bundle at my side.

The princess pug, hamming it up for the camera. What a little cutie!

Sorry, all, for not having a new Valentine’s photo (this is last year’s photo) but we just weren’t able to arrange it in time. Rest assured the princess is getting lovingly pampered today.

Look at that face. Seriously. No wonder the little bit is spoiled rotten. Honestly. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

More Jedi mind tricks from the princess pug. She’s practically vibrating, she’s so excited about playing outdoors.

I love seeing that fuzzy little black muzzle turned white and frosty from a romp in the snow. I have the world’s most adorable dog. But what dog mom doesn’t think that?

squished princess

It never fails to make me laugh the way she’ll just squish her little body in between two close objects – my thigh and the couch, the couch and the pillow, or between my boyfriend and I on the couch. She stretches out lengthwise, lays her chin on her paws, and snores away happily for hours.
