The princess and I wish each and every one of you a spooky, treat-filled Halloween!

1st of our 3 part Halloween series. The princess hanging out on our Halloween-y orange background with a couple of vampire battery-powered candlesticks in the foreground. Their faces remind me of the Count, from Hilarious House of Frightenstein (though less green). Man, I loved that show growing up – and it’s now on TV in Canada again, on both Drive-In Classics and Space TV, via the wonders of syndication.

I never understood why property owners felt compelled to pick up every single speck of leaf the moment it falls. Merry and I love tromping through the leaves; it colors our walks and makes us feel so autumn-y. :) The princess, as always, looks fabulous in her Houndstooth coat and matching green leather collar & lead.

Despite the grumpy look, the princess and I have enjoyed hauling out her Fall collection of coats and sweaters. Here, one of her favorite coats – a Jasper and Lenore – and a blingy orange snakeskin collar & lead from The Ritzy Rover. Orange and brown are, in my opinion, the perfect color combination for this time of year. :)

Last weekend, we took the pug to her first ever Pugalug (where, essentially, a group of crazy pug owners here in Toronto get together every month to let the pugs run free and to ooh and aah over teeny squished faces). It was Pug-o-ween, meaning there were about 100 snorting, squirming pugs all dressed up as lions and Batman and football players and hotdogs and ladybugs and princesses and firemen and… you get the idea. The princess wore her lei and hula skirt outfit. She ran almost nonstop for the first half hour, laps around the crowd, although she chased no one and was chased by none. Essentially, she runs for the sheer joy of it, as captured here. :)

The princess has a lot of raincoats, of course, but her favorite is this orange combo. It’s just so bright and cheery, it makes all these gloomy rainy days (we’ve had a lot around here lately) just a little more bearable. :)

The princess gettin’ all buggy-eyed and slothlike on her absolutely fabulous lynx bed. If only she could throw a wrist up to her forehead a la Gone with the Wind, huh? (Have I mentioned how much we love this darned bed? Merry sleeps in it literally every day.)

Don’t you just hate a cranky camera battery? Sorry about the delay folks. It should be all fixed now. :)
