The princess likes to curl up with me while I have my breakfast and then usually curls up where I was for at least an hour after I get up. (I think she likes the warmth.) Since it started getting cooler out, I’ve started bundling the princess in a thick white blanket and she snuggles there quite happily for ages.

Folks, I’m sorry it’s been so long between pictures and that even now, you’re not getting a totally “fresh” photo (tomorrow, I promise!). Between the craziness of running a consumer-focused business around the holidays, decorating my house for the holidays, and planning for our annual holiday cocktail party this weekend, it’s been insane! Still, I’m a bad pug mommy for not sharing more of this sweet little face with all of you. Nothing for me to do but throw myself on your mercy, and promise I will have more for you very soon, including our favorite photos every year… Holiday Photos! (Everyone did realize the reason behind the sweet princess’s name, don’t you?)

The princess, yet another day in the back yard, yet again with the ball, yet again in black and white, but seriously how cute is she? I also love this coat – it’s a Pug Snuggly and one of our favorite things about it is that it’s reversible. ;)

Oh, I love red for fall. It’s just so striking and wonderful – when the rest of the world seems to be donning black and grey and brown, it makes you (or in this case, your pug) a wonderfully wrapped warm and festive looking alternative. Here the princess is decked out in a wool winter coat and red leather collar & lead.

The princess, a.k.a. Darth Pug, is never happier than during a play session outside. Can you see the size of that grin?

How the princess loves playing ball. Our backyard is currently a muddy mess and has been for more than a month while there was work going on, but we squeezed in a bit of play the other morning while it was a little drier.

The princess has started wearing sweaters around the house since it’s been chillier especially around the floors, and I hate her to be uncomfortable. However, the wonderful creamy look of fawn pug in a lovely gold eyelash sweater on cream carpet could not be denied, so I had to run and grab my camera. (The princess, incidentally, is watching my toes wiggling at her while I shot the photo, which is why her head is cocked in such a cute little way.)

The princess wakes slowly most mornings. She wakes up enough to wander to the side of the bed, so she can be lifted up and snuggle with us under the covers. She’ll sleep for another hour or two this way, happily. By then, getting her up can be a very sweet struggle as she’s very warm and cuddly and sleepy.

The princess, never one to hide what she’s feeling, gives a great mix of disdain and curiousity in her patented headtilt(tm). She also looks smashing in her ultrasuede and sherpa dog vest (read our review).

Watching the princess get poised for the throw of a ball is one of the things guaranteed to make me laugh every single day.
