Merry and I both thank you all for the lovely birthday sentiments yesterday! Here’s another photo from the little pug’s birthday celebrations.

After the princess had her fill of steak, veggies and carrot birthday cake, we all headed outside to play. My boyfriend’s two kids had a ball chasing her around and playing fetch.

The princess is 6 years old today! We celebrated last night with our family and the princess pug had a fabulous time – real steak, all the veggie treats off the table she wanted, and carrot cake with cream cheese on top for dessert. Afterwards there was MUCH play – you’ll see a photo from that tomorrow – and by the time everyone was done, the pug hit the sheets like someone had knocked her on her head, complete with plenty of pug snoring. :) Now that’s what I call a successful birthday!

More work photos of the pug. When I first found out the princess pug and I would be reviewing a frilly, eyelet-y, lilac dress, I have to admit I thought she’d look silly. Pugs are kind of stocky, even the svelte miss Merry, and stocky + ruffles doesn’t always go well. But she looked actually very tiny and cute in it and she’s worn it several times since. Merry’s such a good little model. When she sees me putting up the white backdrop, she makes a beeline for it and sits down. She willingly poses (mostly willingly, anyway) for as long as I need under the hot lights because she knows once I get the shot I need for each pose, she gets a treat.
