The princess and I want to wish everyone a wonderful Halloween! So many Halloween costumes, so little time – so we’re using up many of them today. This morning’s walk was in her Shark costume. This afternoon she’ll be walking in her Knight costume, and tonight, of course, she’ll be a little devil. :)

I put the resident little devil next to our pumpkin, who we’ve nicknamed Fred. I’m not sure the pug understands why she’s posing beside a pumpkin. Too cute.

Thanks to everyone for their fun comments yesterday. We had a blast decorating the house for Halloween this year. :)

The princess helped me test out my new studio last night, in preparations for today’s Merryvaluations shoot. It’s the first time I’ve had a pro-”ish” setup to shoot the pug in. It’s amazing what you can hack together without it – but it was high time we moved on up to real backgrounds, real flash, and the results even on our first go were incredible. I can’t wait to get back in there today and see what I can do.

About the watermark: yes, I know it’s annoying. I’m still working on a method that I’m happy with. Bear with me. It won’t be on all of them; just ones I suspect might get lifted.

The princess would like to play outside, but it’s pouring out there today. Poor little puggie!

Folks, my deepest apologies for the complete lack of posts last week. Between my back going out, forcing me to spend as little time online as possible, and a singularly insane work week, I just didn’t have any extra minutes online to post pictures of the wee princess for you all.

Thanks to all of you for your concern – both via comments and email. We really do appreciate it – it’s very touching to know we have folks out there watching over us, worrying about us!

The good news is that I have some of the work under control, the back is immeasurably better though I’m still not at full work days yet, and the princess is continuing to flourish and play almost constantly with her newly-allowed toys. :)

Not content to merely beg turkey and veggies from everyone, Merry also spent a chunk of last weekend PLAYING OUTSIDE! Yay! Fetch, with a big pink ball! Her eyesight isn’t sueprb – she still loses the ball if we don’t throw it carefully in her sight path – but she’s having fun and less likely to run into walls and tables than before. :) It’s all good!

It was the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend last weekend, which meant for le pug princess it was Thanksbegging weekend – a virtual cornucopia of opportunities to snag food from soft-hearted humans. She was fed very, very well and napped often in between. A huge and handsome feast went off without a hitch and we all gave many thanks for the bounty in our lives – me, most of all.

This week I’ve slowly been re-introducing toys to Merry. It’s always for a short period of time and under close supervision so she doesn’t bury her little face in the toys, but it’s been wonderful to see her playing again after so long. She gets so excited she almost jumps out of her skin.

No, she’s not kissing the toy – looks like it though, yes? Made me laugh, and I knew this was the one I’d have to share with all of you!
