The staged New Year’s Eve photo is a tradition here on the Merrylog! See last year’s, and the one from 2006. This year we had to try to top it, of course, and this is what we came up with – giggling all the way, I might add. Merry started her New Year’s party early this year, and had one heck of a time drinking out of champagne flutes, as you can see. Hope you have an easier time – and Happy New Year from everyone at PamperedPuppy.com!

The princess and I stole a few moments alone in the house on Christmas Day (in between mounds of family) to play some fetch. She looked gorgeous in her Christmas reindeer sweater and soooo cute as she howled at the ball. :)

The princess pug all propped up on her Grandma’s lap over Christmas. It was hysterically cute that their pink sweaters matched. You can see that Merry is one excited dog – as her Grandma’s about to feed her a treat.

The princess pug had a blast this Christmas – new toys and treats from “Grandma & Grandpa”, lots of play and snuggle time with everyone, and an INCREDIBLE amount of food. She’s a consummate beggar and she was in high form this year, making the rounds to everyone asking for bits of turkey or veggies, and then moving on to the next person. It’s a wonder she’s not a billion pounds. ;)

Hope everyone else’s holiday was grand!

No, folks, the princess hasn’t gained a billion pounds… except in clothing. We’re in a cold snap around here and this morning we had a windchill of -7 degrees Fahrenheit (that’s -24 for those of us on Celsius) which means that the princess would like to know where we hid the warm-ish weather and the leaves to pee on, because we’ve had a crazy serious amount of snow over the weekend. :) The only way I can get her outside for even a few minutes is layered in a hoodie AND big winter coat, and with booties on.

Hope you’re staying warm where you are! Can you believe Christmas is only three days away? AAAAGH! I’m never going to get everything wrapped in time. ;)

Along those lines, don’t forget we’re only 9 days to the new year, which means that it’s a perfect time to pick up a 2009 Merrylog Calendar, featuring 12 months of the princess pug.

We’re getting dumped with snow here in Toronto…this was taken BEFORE today’s heavy snowfall started, folks, which means it’s pretty much pug-height by now. :) It LOOKS gorgeous but my how the pug hates heavy snowfall! Still, something very cool about this much snow right before the holidays – the best time of all for snow. Hope all of you have a fabulous weekend.

The princess and I are having great fun this month decking her out in Christmas gear before playing fetch. I’m having fun ’cause – look, cute pictures. She, of course, is just all about the ballballball. :)

It’s too late for this year, but I’m thinking this would make a great Christmas card for next year. :) Captured this morning – since we FINALLY got a little snow! It’s just not Christmas until it’s white.

Playing with some of her holiday-themed toys. ‘Cause I’m a Christmas nut, and must change out most of her toys during the holidays for Christmas-themed stuff like stuffed santas, squeaky reindeer and peppermint-scented chew toys (like the one above).

Am I crazy or is anyone else like me? Do you pull out Christmas toys this time of year, and put away others?
