The pug is just so funny when she plays with her ball. The look of excitement is priceless!

Okay, so I’m a sucker for a sleepy pug – had to post one more of her (yet again) slothing on the bed this morning!
This inspires me to sleep in this weekend. It’s been weeks and weeks since I slept in!
You sleep in too, folks. And cuddle with your furkids. They’re cute. They deserve it.

I love Merry in the morning – the older she gets, the slower she gets, and the sleepier she is, the more cuddly she wants to be. She could lay there for hours enjoying belly rubbings, ear rubbings and general cuddliness… if only I had the time to do so!

I love the look of Merry in her Purple Silver Flox Dog Coat. Totally Liberace-licious. ;) And the looks she gets when decked out in it! Oh, folks just always have something to say when the princess prances by in that dog coat.

I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I had been working like crazy on a couple of new projects. One was, of course, DoggyDesktops which launched officially last week – and you should check out the gorgeous Golden Lab for this week’s free dog wallpaper when you get a moment.
The other personal project is the launch of a new business (because, as you know, the only thing crazier than a woman running ONE business is a woman running TWO): Angie McKaig Photography has finally, officially, launched. This portrait photography and pet portrait business is focused on serving the Toronto area. I hope you’ll all wish me well on the journey – and perhaps mention me to your Toronto area friends!

The princess pug is world-class at asking for – and usually receiving – a treat. But the great news is I have a treat for ALL of you today! Today marks the launch of a long-overdue feature I’ve been working on for Pampered Puppy: DoggyDesktops!
Yes, that’s right you can now Furrify your monitor™ with a new furkid wallpaper each and every week. Sometimes the photos will be of Merry, other times they may be winners from our world-famous photo contests, but they’ll always be fabulous. And easy on the pocketbook, too: they’re 100% free for personal desktop use.
Needless to say, I’m quite excited about the launch – be sure to drop by, pick up a new free wallpaper, and enjoy!

How is it that my teenaged stepson and my pug give me the same look after I’ve woken them up in the morning? *grin*
Love, love, LOVE the pug on our chocolate brown bedding. And yes, she gets pug hair all over it. But one of my resolutions for the new year is “more family, less perfection”. So, pug hair on the sheets it is.

It’s cold here. Merry says hi. And also, where did the grass go? :)

When you’ve posted over 1,000 photos of something (yes folks, believe it or not, this is Merrylog post #1034, if you can believe it!), you start thinking to yourself: “What haven’t I done before? How can I make this new?”
So, I grabbed my widest angle lens and laid down on the floor to play with the pug. This funny shot (she’s not really in attack mode – just trying to nab the ball from my hand, which I’m holding just off-camera) was the result. :)

Lots of comments in Merry’s boot pics this year about how I get her to wear them! Well, here are the steps:
This is how I broke Merry in – a few days around the house, some fetch, and she was fine with them.
Important to note that a) the pug will NOT walk happily outside for more than a few steps without boots because the ice and salt kill her poor little pug feet, b) she is now so comfortable with the procedure of putting on the boots that she dozes in your lap while you do it… as she’s doing here, while my fiance gets her boots on.
