Oh my I love fall. Colorful leaves everywhere, warm homemade soups and crusty homemade breads and apple crisp and warm sweaters and thick jeans and lovely, if all too brief, autumn sunlight. And apparently, based on other posts made in other years on November 5, fall is a big theme with me on this day. Who knew?

For years now, folks have been asking me where I get these fabulous balls with the diamond shapes for Merry. And I’ve always had to apologise and say that I bought them all at local pet stores and, when asked, those stores had no idea who made them because they didn’t carry them any more. Sigh.
Well, good news! My local pet store just started carrying them and I picked up a fab new one in gorgeous orange, which means I also got the scoop on who makes it.
The balls are called Grubber balls and they’re manufactured by a Canadian company, Burgham. Here’s the link to their web site and here’s a link to their current dog catalogue which lists the Grubber ball. Sooo… bug your local (or online) retailer to pick some up so you, too, can enjoy the Grubber ball (in 3 different sizes) for your wee one.

Oh, the bug eyes. Tell me they make you laugh as much as they make me laugh, will you? :)

The trouble with having twelve Halloween costumes, of course, is figuring out which to pose in this year. Since her mom (aka ME) has been crazy busy since returning from the honeymoon and getting sick and preparing for the move and running two businesses (don’t you get tired just READING that list?) we kept it simple this year and did no big studio sets, unlike past years.
Next year, though, lookout! I may try to craft my own more-stupendous Devil dog costume for the princess to wear with her Momma and family.
Hope you all had a fabulous Halloween! Ours was quiet but fun – orange floats, black corn chip nachos, and since we have a teenage girl in the house… lots of vampire watching (Buffy episodes AND Lost Boys, thankyouverymuch). The princess pug ran around and terrorized everyone in her Devil costume all night long. :)
