As you probably know, I started PamperedPuppy.com in 2002 and within two years was running it full time. While I have loved every single minute of my time at Pampered Puppy, I’ve found myself craving additional challenges. Last year, I started a professional photography business, hoping it would both complement the work I was doing at Pampered Puppy and give me the challenge I sought, but the truth is it was never as satisfying as I’d hoped.
It was time, then, to accept that I need these challenges and go about finding them. I’m happy to report that I have found that challenge: heading up a team running one of the most successful women’s magazine
web sites in Canada.
I’m starting that position next Monday, May 10th.
However, that does mean some changes around here. While I have staff on hand to keep up the regular daily workings going for a while, the reality is that no ship can survive without a full time captain for long… so I will be actively pursuing a buyer for the company.
What happens to Merrylog? Well, that’s a good question. Short term – for the next few months – it means fewer postings around here. I promise to try to get you lovely Merry goodness at least a couple of times each week, daily posting may not be reasonable given the demands on my time.
Long term – I will keep you updated once I have more of an idea what will happen with the sale of the company. I may keep Merrylog separate, and keep it as my own “thing” on the side, or it may become part of the sale… I just don’t know at this point.
What CAN I promise?
1. I’ll keep you all updated. When I know, you’ll know.
2. I will continue to post just as often as I can.
I won’t lie – it’s going to be hard to leave little Merry every day. I’ve been working from home since she was 2 years old. I’ll miss the little spud like you won’t believe. But this is what will make me happy, folks, and I need to go ahead and pursue that.
It’s not goodbye – many more posts to come – but I wanted to let y’all know what was going on. Hugs.
omg, i’m tearing up. i’m happy for you – really, but the posibility of not seeing merry all the time…well that’s just sad. i love her so much!
i vote you keep the merrylog…as your own thing.
any chance they’ll let you bring merry to the office everyday?
Congrats, that is awesome!!
i forgot to say two things:
first – congratulations!!
and, i love this picture. the eyes, the ears, the nose, that little tongue – too cute.

Congratulations! Very exciting news!
I’m with Stephanie – keep Merrylog as your “thing”!
That is awesome news! Glad to hear you are able to grow into a new position. Sad to hear that we might be losing Merry posts. Sure love seeing what she is up to everyday.
Congrats and all that…now me and the pugs have to go cry over the possible loss of their icon…Merry. lol!
congratulations, angie, so very happy for you. please retain “merrylog” separate from the sale, all of us love seeing her and her antics. sure would hate to miss seeing the little bit, she is so adorable. blessings to you on your new venture.
How exciting for you! I don’t know what I will do without the merrylog, though! ;-( I wish you All the Best!
******* My Lily and I would be highly INTERESTED If you don’t have buyer in mind – I may be your girl! ;-)
I’m so happy for you Angie. The work sounds amazing. You will be sooo good at it. Blessings and Joy for your next adventure!
Like Stephanie I teared up. You know that Merrylog is a way for me to stay in touch with doggies and the Princess in particular. This housebound, USA fan would miss Merry very very much. I would miss You and your family very much. I would miss the regular posters very much. Too much muches? I vote you keep Merrylog even if you only post once a week! I haven’t been posting like I used to because I have been too sick but I’m always aware that Merrylog will be there when I tune in. :>)
