Finally, I’ve gotten the images from Merry’s belated birthday celebration processed. The Sunday after her birthday, we took the little one to the park and spent an hour or two in the park doing her favorite thing: playing fetch. No party hats, no cake (since we still weren’t sure of her tummy) but lots of time with her favorite humans doing what she loves best.

(Doesn’t she look happy?)

Two photos today; a couple more tomorrow, too! Stay tuned!

Today, Merry’s Grandma turns a svelte and youthful 39 years old… again. Merry, as you can see, is very happy about her Grandma’s birthday. There have been some fun years in her not-too-distant past when we were worried about having her around at all today, and both the pug and I are incredibly grateful to still have her alive and givin’ us hell.

What a rare and wonderful treat it is to have a puglet that makes you laugh. Merry’s Dad and I spent time last night zooming around YouTube looking at pug videos and were reduced to tears giggling at: Pug Head Tilt X 4, the hysterical follow up Pugs Watching Themselves on YouTube, and Pug Puppies 4 Weeks Old.

Do any of you have funny videos to share? Post ‘em below and Merry’s Dad & I will check ‘em out.

At my new day job, I am in charge of three web sites. Add PamperedPuppy.com to that mix, and I am one busy lady right now. So much so, that…

Oh, I almost can’t bear to say what I realized yesterday…

…that I forgot my dog’s birthday, which was on June 6th.

Poor baby pug! Mind you, she was also negotiating tummy trouble at the time and we likely couldn’t have served her regular feast (2009, 2008) but I still feel just awful.

We were *going* to take her to the beach tonight to celebrate, belatedly, her birthday, but it’s set to thunderstorm around here all day so it may have to be postponed. I’m hesitant still to dole out her birthday feast as per usual, since she’s been finally solid with her tummy for the past week or so, but we have to do something.

Will take photos of, and let you know about, what celebration we decide on. In the meantime, please wish the pug a happy 9 years!

No matter how crazy my days have been, no matter how crazy they may be, this little face never fails to make me laugh. She’s just so cute and so funny that it makes everything else a little easier, you know? I guess that’s why folks get dogs in the first place. :)

As you can see, the princess is slowly but surely adapting to her new, earlier wake and walk time. She’s still recalcitrant at times – I have entertained the fantasy once or twice of squeezing her to force “her business” out instead of waiting the interminable length of time it can take for her to go already (is it just me??)… but no worries, the pug is squeeze-free and intact. And it’s nice to have our girl time together first thing in the morning when it’s cooler, and quiet, and there is dew still on the grass many mornings.
