The expression on her face was so priceless I had to share it with you. ;) However, this photo also really nicely summed up my feelings about waking up before 6 am on a Saturday just so I could go down to Toronto’s biggest farmer’s market and beat the crowds. I love the food, love the market, but oh my gosh this is an ungodly weekend hour!
The princess received some great news yesterday – she has healed enough for us to allow her some playtime with one of her uber squishy and soft anemones. It’s not quite fetch, but it is progress! We’re all thrilled and relieved to be able to give the pug something to do other than walk, cuddle and sleep.

what a face!!!!!! how lucky you were to ba able to catch this expression. glad to hear merry is healing up well. still asking for prayers for joey. blessings……..
Oh, goodness! That is way too early in our house for humans and pugs. And like you said, especially on the weekend!
Merry is adorably expressive today! I think we can all relate to how she is feeling! Ha! Anyway, so glad to hear the news about play-time. She is going to be back to 100% in no time flat now!
Enjoy the weekend!
Love,
Christy and Payton
Oh, what a darling picture! Just look at that puggie face. To be up and out at 6am on the weekend is way to early. Keep on healing.
Drools and licks,

Haha! xx
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I totally make that face EVERY morning! lol. I am up at 4am to get my hubs off to work…ugh. I soooo understand that face! As usual Merry has managed to get quite the guffah out of us here. Love this pic and it should totally be put on a funny Birthday card or in the next calendar! Fantastic!
Great to hear that she is healing well too…been sending puppy prayers!
Cheers from the Porters and pugs!
Actually I make that face about early mornings, exercise and cooked spinach, lol!!!
lol i agree with early mornings. i keep telling my “morning person” friends that theres medication for their illness.
Merry is just TOO adorable!
p.s. where did you get the anemone toy?
I have two pugs and I’m glad they can’t read, because Merry is my most favorite puggy in the entire world. She never fails to make me smile. I am a chronic pain sufferer for the last 13 years, so anything that makes me smile these days, I really cherish. And I cherish Merry. Thank you so much for sharing her with us!!!!
LOL. Sooo Merry! I love that grumpy face. It’s good to be able to see posts on Merry Log again. I was just showing someone the calender from 2010. We Oooo’d and Aaaaa’d.
Blessings and Peace.

Nadine: Our thoughts are with Joey. Any news?
Maggie’s Mom: the anemone (featured in the next photo) is from the dollar store, actually. But it’s soft and as long as we monitor her while she plays, a very safe toy to play with.
